Costs and Pricing
The questions of prices for arenas are asked of us on a daily basis.
We quote our prices based upon a number variables such as the desired riding
surface, the amount of earth work needed to level the school site, the grade of
perimeter fencing desired. We go to great pains to provide a quote with all the
materials and work itemized and accurately specified. The price we quote is the
price you pay. On a regular basis we encounter competitors who will quote
prices with very few of very vague specifications or not even a site evaluation.
There are numerous ways to cut corners to arrive at a cheap price. Cheap quoted
prices are most often based on utilization of inferior quality materials that will
result in an arena that looks good on the day it's finished but will become a
nightmare in the months or years to come.
The reality is that all arena builders use and have access to the same suppliers of
raw materials. No one builder has a corner on the market in the procurement of
raw materials. So if you obtain a quote from an arena builder that is appears to be
too good to be true... then it probably is. You only get one chance to build an
arena right the first time. The cost of sorting a botched job often runs into
thousands of pounds. We highly recommend that you insist on quotes that are
very specific in the quantity and quality of materials used and on the specifics of
the design and type of construction used. If a builder can't or won't supply that
type of information... beware!
The old adage of "looking a gift horse in the mouth" applies.
